Behavior therapy and ABA in Doral
We are not a national chain with a Doral branch. This is where the practice is, on NW 25th Street, and it is where our team has worked with Doral families since 1999.
Denali CRT is a behavior therapy agency based in Doral, at 10200 NW 25th St, Suite 204. We provide ABA therapy for autism, mental health counseling and RBT training, in Spanish and in English, in network with Medicaid, Florida Blue, Aetna, Sunshine, CMS, Molina and Cigna. Sessions happen at home, at school, in the community or at the office.
Where we are, and what that means for you
The office is at 10200 NW 25th Street, Suite 204, off the 826 and a few minutes from the Palmetto Expressway, with parking that does not require a plan. Monday to Friday, nine to five.
Being based here rather than driving in matters in a practical way. A technician assigned to a Doral family is not crossing the county twice a day, which means sessions get scheduled at the hours that suit your child rather than the hours that suit traffic, and a cancellation is easier to fill.
What we do here
- Behavioral therapy, ABAOne on one applied behavior analysis for autism and developmental support. A Board Certified Behavior Analyst writes the plan, a Registered Behavior Technician runs it, and the sessions happen where the skills need to work: at home, at school, in the community or here at the office.
- Mental health counselingLicensed counselors for anxiety, depression, trauma, grief and life transitions, for adults and adolescents. In this office or by telehealth, in whichever language you think in.
- RBT trainingThe 40 hour Registered Behavior Technician course, being built in Spanish and English, with exam review. For people in Doral who want a clinical career without a degree, this is the entry point.
A Doral practice works in Spanish
Roughly four in five people in Doral speak Spanish at home. A practice here that treats Spanish as an accommodation has misunderstood where it is. Our clinicians work in both languages every day, and so do the intake call, the consent forms, the treatment plan and the caregiver training.
Caregiver training is the part that decides whether a programme works, because your child spends far more hours with you than with us. Being trained in a language you are translating in your head is not being trained.
Working with Doral schools
Doral's schools are part of Miami-Dade County Public Schools, and a child receiving ABA usually also has an IEP or a 504 plan. Those are two separate systems, funded differently, and one does not replace the other.
Where the school agrees, our technicians work inside the classroom alongside the school team, so the strategies at school and the strategies at home are the same ones. Where the school does not, we coordinate from outside and make sure the IEP goals and the treatment plan goals are pulling in one direction instead of two.
Insurance, and what happens if we do not take yours
For ABA we are in network with Aetna, Florida Blue, Medicaid, Sunshine Health, CMS Health Plan, Molina and Cigna. For mental health, Aetna, Florida Blue, Medicaid, Sunshine Health, CMS Health Plan, United Healthcare and Oscar.
If your plan is not on those lists, tell us anyway. Nobody should be left without care because of a network. We will help you find a provider who takes it, at no cost to you, rather than let you end the conversation there.
Beyond Doral
The office is in Doral and our therapists travel around Miami, as far north as Fort Myers and as far south as Homestead. If you are not sure whether your address falls inside that range, call and we will tell you in a minute.
Quick questions
Do sessions have to happen at the Doral office?
No, and usually they do not. Most ABA happens at home, at school or in the community, because a skill that only works in a therapy room is not a skill yet. The office is for assessments, for counseling sessions and for families who prefer it.
How soon can we start?
Verification of your benefits takes a few days. Authorization for an assessment usually takes one to three weeks depending on the plan, and treatment authorization after the assessment takes about the same. The long part is the diagnosis, if you do not already have one.
Are you hiring RBTs in Doral?
Yes, and BCBAs and mental health counselors. We supervise our technicians rather than leaving them to figure it out, which is the part that decides whether this job is sustainable. The careers page is open.
Start where it makes sense for you
Check your insurance in about a minute, pick a day on the calendar, or just call the office at 305-602-0268 and talk to a person. Whichever you choose, you get an answer rather than a form that disappears.
