Psychotherapy in Spanish in Miami and Doral
Therapy that happens in the language you think in, with licensed therapists who work in Spanish every day. For anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, couples and family, in our Doral office or by secure video from anywhere in Florida.
Denali CRT provides psychotherapy and mental health counseling in Spanish and in English, in Doral and by telehealth, with licensed mental health counselors. We work with adults, adolescents, couples and families, we are in network with Aetna, Florida Blue, United Healthcare and Oscar, and the first step is a short intake form.
What we treat
Psychotherapy is a structured conversation with a trained clinician, aimed at a change you can name. These are the reasons people come to us most often.
- Anxiety and everyday stressConstant worry, panic, trouble sleeping, a body that will not switch off. Evidence based approaches such as cognitive behavioral therapy give you tools you can use the same week.
- Depression and low moodLosing interest, losing energy, feeling far from the people around you. Therapy helps you understand what is happening and rebuild, one manageable step at a time.
- Trauma and griefA loss, an accident, a hard migration, something from long ago that still weighs. We go at your pace, and nothing is forced before you are ready.
- Couples and family therapyCommunication that keeps breaking down, decisions that split the house, two generations that do not understand each other. Sessions with the people involved, in the language the family actually speaks at home.
- AdolescentsSchool pressure, identity, friendships, the phone, a home in two cultures. A space that is theirs, with a clinician who also keeps parents in the loop.
- Life transitionsA new country, a new job, a separation, a diagnosis in the family. The seasons that are hardest to cross alone, and easier with someone beside you.
How psychotherapy works here
The first session is about listening. Your therapist learns your story, what weighs on you and where you want to go, and together you set goals you can measure. From there, sessions are usually weekly, and the plan is adjusted as you move.
We use approaches backed by research, cognitive behavioral therapy among them, and we adapt them to you, your culture and your rhythm. Some people come for a season and leave with what they needed. Others stay longer. Both are welcome.
In Doral or online, in your language
The office is at 10200 NW 25th Street, Suite 204, in Doral, a private and quiet space for individual, couple or family sessions. Telehealth sessions run over secure, HIPAA compliant video, with the same therapist and the same quality, from anywhere in Florida.
Everything happens in the language you choose: the intake, the sessions, the plan. Not through an interpreter, and not with a clinician who studied Spanish once. With therapists who live and work in it.
Who you will see
Our mental health team is made up of licensed mental health counselors, clinicians licensed by the State of Florida to practice psychotherapy. They are not psychologists or psychiatrists, and we say so plainly, because the difference matters when you are choosing care. If what you need is a psychological evaluation or medication, we tell you at intake and point you to the right professional.
What they do is what most people are looking for when they search for a psychologist: talk therapy, with a trained clinician, that leads somewhere.
Insurance, and what happens if we do not take yours
For psychotherapy and counseling we are in network with Aetna, Florida Blue, United Healthcare and Oscar. We verify your benefits before the first session, so there are no surprises.
If your plan is not on that list, tell us anyway. We will help you find a therapist who does take it, at no cost to you. Nobody should go without care over a network.
Quick questions
Do I need a psychologist or a therapist?
For most concerns, anxiety, depression, grief, a relationship, a hard season, what helps is psychotherapy, and a licensed mental health counselor is trained and licensed to provide it. A psychologist is the right call when you need formal psychological testing, and a psychiatrist when medication is on the table. If we hear that at intake, we say so and refer you.
How long does therapy take?
It depends on the goal. Focused work on a specific problem often runs eight to sixteen sessions. Deeper or longer standing concerns take longer, and some people keep a monthly session as maintenance. You and your therapist review progress together and decide, and you can stop when you feel ready.
Does therapy by video work as well as in person?
For most people and most concerns, yes, and research on telehealth psychotherapy backs that up. What matters is a private place to talk and a stable connection. Some prefer the office, and some situations call for it, and we will tell you if yours does.
